chocolate cupcakes with salted caramel buttercream and caramel drizzle.
i am in cupcake heaven. seriously. why have i never done this before?!
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/3 cup coffee
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Whisk dry ingredients together in a small bowl. Mix milk and coffee in a pyrex measuring cup. Cream butter and sugar in a large mixing bowl, Add eggs one at a time and continue beating. Add a little bit of dry ingredients, then add wet ingredients, continue beating and alternating wet/dry until all ingredients are fully incorportated. Line cupcake pan. Divide and spoon batter evenly into each cupcake liner. Bake for 15-18 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Allow to cool before frosting.Caramel Buttercream was from this recipe.Enjoy :)
